History and Legacy
Radha Rani Temple was built in 1675 AD by Narayan Bhatt, a disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and was later expanded by the rulers of Jaipur. The temple is regarded as the main temple dedicated to Radha in Braj region. According to legend, Barsana is Radha's birthplace, and this hill is one of the four representing the heads of Lord Brahma, making it sacred. Pilgrims climb the steps leading to the temple with chants of "Radhe Radhe" echoing all around, creating a deeply spiritual ambiance.
The temple's architecture is remarkable with its red sandstone construction, decorated pillars, and vibrant frescoes that depict scenes from Radha and Krishna’s life.
